there's no SIT tut this week, so my gp had decided to make use of the time to go to our fieldtrip destination(s)... guess where we went??? haha... CHINATOWN... =_=" i know it's quite boring.. but im proud (we are all proud) that we can spend one whole day (abt 9hrs) there ok... and it was my first visit to the chinatown heritage centre. haha. was amazed by how expensive it is! $10!!! no more student price...tsktsktsk... fellicia and lucinda kept complaining how ex it was... we only spent a while there (less than an hr). and before we stepped out of that place, we kept thinking if we had taken all the pic we need, because we want to ensure the $10 is well spent. haha. but seriously, there isn't much to see. Well, Poor peizhen and fellicia, second visit to this not-so-interesting place. anyway, when we finally walked out of it, we decided to hunt for the famous bo-lo-bao highly recommended by lucinda. So we walked and asked around, but no one knew. Finally, a customer in a boutique shop knew what we were referring to (many shop owneres did not know there's a shop that sells bo lo bao) and had even volunteered to bring us there. How nice... =) initially she thought we were tourists! LOL! but that's because of lucinda funny chinses accent la...

after we found it, we bought a few extras to bring home for our families to taste it. Fellicia bought the most..haha... After that, we were supposed to head to Kampong Glam, but we decided to skip it as it didn't seem very interesting to us. So, next up on our to-go-list, was Peranakan museum. but, we gave it a miss too....we went somewhere more interesting. KARAOKE!!! LOL. Fellicia brought us to a $10 karaoke shop, with free flow of drinks and no gst and service charge. When we reached there, it was 1.15pm. and we camped outside the shop till 2pm when it finally opened. haha.. we were just so determined. But we got a fright when the person i/c told us that we had to make appointment in advance, or wait 15min to see if the ppl who booked turns up. So we decided to give it a try and play 'spot the difference' first. finally, we got a room for 6 (so we ended up paying $12 each). Fiona was so high. And so was Fellicia. haha... we took turns to sing and they kept complaining that i didn't sing. The room was very cold, because of the super strong air con and that made us all shiver. haha. no wonder the sign outside the shop says "no sleveless shirts, singlets, slippers, shorts allowed" f.y.i that was lucinda's dress code for that day, but she was still allowed in, but she was the one who was almost froze to death too.. haha.. oh ya, i guess the most well-known singer was Jay Chou. whichever song we picked, almost everyone knew how to sing.. haven't been to kbox for a very long time, and that day we stayed till 7pm (5hrs of singing!!). after that, i got a headache...

yesterday we were supposed to meet HR consultant - Mrs Lee Chang Yang at 8.30am. but because a few of us were late, she refused to see us until the whole gp was there. but we had apel and hr tut from 9-12pm, so we had no choice but to re-schedule for another appointment, which is today 10am. Hence, the whole gp decided to meet at 9.15am and meet mrs lee at 9.30am so that we will not be late (but very early instead) and she would not be pissed. when we were finally not late and ready, she had sth on and had to see us at a later time. when we saw her at the corridor, and she did not mention anything. it was our tutor, mrs tong, who told us about it. thus, we wrote a note to meet her after our MA tut, at 1pm. as usual, our adjunct tutor always drag the lesson and we were all panicking because we can't be late! we ran up and finally on time to see her. whew.. the process of consultation was.... different. haha. cox she was in a good mood and had gave us many hints when we couldn't answer her qns. so fortunately for us, within 1 attempt, we got all the papers we need. yay! first time that my gp is so successful! haha.. normally we had to visit the consultant 2 or 3 times. my gp was damn terrified and flustered because the deadline is next wed and we could not see her any time earlier last week. so our progress was actually very lag now. we really have to spend all our time and energy on this report now. wish me luck.

saw liang ting last friday outside T1. he called my name, and when i turned around and saw no one im familiar with, i'd thought i had heard wrongly. however, it was my mistake, because i could hardly recognise him with his botak head. opps! it took me abt 5 sec before i registered his face in my head. haha..

met xy and mavis on sat and had a great time catching up with them! haix... sec sch days are the best, ain't they??? this meeting was scheduled long time ago, but due to some factors, we had to postponed it (for several times). haha. but hey, we still get to keep in touch! they are now waiting for letters of acceptance from uni, and that makes me realised that i am different from them. well, although the things we are studying are different, and the path we are going are also different, but that doesn't really matter. we are still best friends no matter what =D
we went to the central (which was not really a wise choice) and went back to T1. Next time, we shall go for movies or kbox bahx!

today, i went to gym at tampines stadium with julie and fiona. wow. i am starting to feel the ache on my legs. but it makes me happy! need to work much harder to reduce some weights off my body... on my way home, i went to buy durian for my mommy. it is mother's day, so i bought her fav food. (my family, for some reason, dislikes eating cakes) glad she likes them. =)

I am lazy. yep. that's right. that's me =D
I can't bring myself to update my blog everyday. Don't ask me why.

Many things happened past few weeks...
Summary:
Year 3 started 2 weeks ago...urghhh...
I was posted same class as Fiona, Peizhen (my pri sch friend) and Jeslin (also my pri sch friend, and classmates in yr 1, sem 2.2 and for the next 1 yr!)
New group mates are Fellicia, Fiona, Peizhen, Lucinda, May and winner (for almost all subjects), and project starting (hating it already)

my aunt dulcinea flew back to switzerland last week (and my cousin catherine and her bf are flying to s'pore coming august- and yes, as host, my sis and i are obliged to show them ard. i hope i can make time for them because i think it would be exam period. BUT nevertheless, i WILL find some time to meet them because i want to see how the italian-swiz guy look like in person... haha... facebook doesn't really show his face...)

mommy's birthday was on the 25th of april and my whole family went out together for dinner. bro's treat. =) my bro asked me to suggest where to go (i don't know why, but i was elated because i could choose what to eat =D). BUT, my idoitic sister spoil my plan by telling my mom she didn't want to go Tampines 1 or TM. urghh. i could have really kill her on the spot. so my mom, as usual, complained that she did not want to travel too far (like from pasir ris to tampines was very far. =.=") so not to make things worse, i kept my month shut. and guess where we had our dinner? the kopitiam next street for zi char. stupid. but my bro ordered my fav oat prawn -mai pian sia, so it doesn't matter anyway. my sis and i shared her present -a casio watch and a top from promod in Tamp 1. so i paid $70.

went shopping with my sis these few days (she just finished her exams and starting her uni internship next mon; so she'd only a few days' break and so she is trying to make full use of it by asking me to go out with her... she needed to buy her formal attire (spent $150++ at G2000. crazy.) and her cosmectics etc.... the list goes on...)

my sis and i watched CATS last Sunday!!! wow. for a moment my heart ache because the ticket costs me $133 (it was go dutch. not a treat from her... she wanted to watch it badly. and i don't know why i gave in and agreed to watch it with her) urghh. i don't even think i earned that amount of money working the few days at nyny. money unrecovered. but then again, the cast does not come to singapore all the time, so it was worthy. it was my sis' first time to watching a musical in esplanade. for once, i feel that i am more "knowledgeable" than her. lol. in sec sch, i went to esplandae to watch something that was so boring that i couldn't remember what it was about. so i felt good leading her all the way there. HAHA. did i ever mention my sis was a idoit when it comes to direction. haix. sometimes i get so irritated that i would just walk ahead and let her run behind my heels. nevermind about that. well, the point is that when we reached the esplanade, it was time to get in and there was a whole bunch of security at the entrance checking everyone's bag. then we were ushered to our seat. and waited quietly...
when the lights turned dark, we could hardly contain our excitment. everyone began flashing their cameras and whispering (of course the ushers will tell you not to take pictures because it was copyright or something but when they turned around, everyone began taking their cameras out again. haha. and so did i...hehe) then, the show began! uhooo... actually, i wouldn't have understood what it was playing if not for my bro's huge contribution. he and his gf went to watch CATS one week before us (we did not know each other was watching until when we saw our tickets on our own tables), and he bought the book about the play which cost $20. lucky we did not have to buy..

here are the pic...

the entrance

the stage

see the "CATS" climbing on the railings? it was after our interval, before the second part of the show. everyone was so excited as the CATs approach us. extremely close view! someone from the first level let out a high-pitched scream because she was in a shock. haha. she did not know that the CATS were there. haha... but pictures are all very dark or blurred.... =(

my sis and i... =)
overall, i enjoyed the show very much. especially the 2nd part. it was more lively and the melodies they sung were more cheerful and strong (as in the lead characters portrayed more distinct roles. they had all successfully delivered a magnificant and bravo show!)
oh ya, i like the few times the cats disappear from stage and re-appear at our rows (very next to us) to give us a pleasant surprise. =D *claps*

oh ya! my dad bought my sis a new lappy. Fujitsu. white! i think my mom thinks i am jealous, and that's why she told me she would get me one later (as in don't know when...) well, i did not deny that i was jealous (since i MIGHT get a lappy from her. one day.) but i really am not jealous. because my dad had agreed to get me something i wanted. =) but i would leave it aside for now. maybe when i feel like owning it a few months later, i will let him know and get what i deserve. but for now, i still feel lousy using my sis old lappy which is faulty in some ways. but i know it very clearly that i am not going to use her new baby. well, because she has got to bring it to work, which is a few days later. i would just have to put up with what i have now.
