updates!

mon - had a most memorable presentation ever (SIT). firstly, tt lily lim actually chased students out from the classroom which she booked for us. she insisted not to change class with the other teacher cox she claimed tt she 'dun want to get into troube with the system'. hmmm...

secondly, thanks to someone, my phone RANG in the middle of presentation (MY GP's presentation, to be precise). lol... jkjk, it was my fault since i forgot to switch to silent mode.

thirdly, the Q&A session was a disaster. the qns asked by her were nvr short and sweet. she went on and on, and we couldn't understand. and i don't know why, my qns was the longest of all (to add on, i was also the first speaker of my gp and the class!)

and so, everyone's scared of the dinosaur now...

wed - went whitesands with my mom and guess what? i won a $10 vouchure from a jackpot ;) so proud of myself. when i left the information counter, i heard ppl behind me complaining they didn't win the last 2 times they came... lol... too bad it's not at casino... well, be contented wanting...

thurs - i receive the call from the tp bus staff when i was on the bus. i almost forgot abt it, after so long... haix... anw, to make things simple, i didn't get the position in Orchard hotel and she told me they have arranged another company for me, and will let me know again. To my surprise, i was glad and relieved to hear tt. (maybe it doesn't sound convincing to you, but it's true!!!) i seriously dread thinking of going to work (if i get it) everyday in heels, and walking a good 10-15min from the mrt station. omg. tt would be hell. and, think abt it, i will have to also squeeze in the train everyday to and after work since it's peak hour. furthermore, it's also a place most office/business ppl alights. so it will be soooo crowded.... but then again, what if i'm placed to another company that is located at a place tt is even less convenient/accessible than Orhard Hotel??? oh no....

fri - today during HR lec, i was told to stay back to meet Mrs See after the lec, tgt with some other students. haix. luckily fellicia was one of those who needs to meet Mrs See also, if not, i will be alone. anw, so we stayed back and yup, like what we guessed, it was regarding SIP, just tt Mrs See says that ours is 'special' and will be called 'SHIP' (but i forgot what it stands for). so in short, 20 of us will be going for the attachment at SNEF companies. BUT, we'll have to do a presentation to the mgt/SNEF ppl by the last week of attachment (and ya, we'll start a few days ealier than the rest too)!!! oh no!!! i dun want!!! i didn't even apply for this SNEF application for sip in the first place (i think some of them did, though). so fellicia and i were like puzzled as to why we have to stay back and listen to all this. fellicia even asked, "is there another girl called fellicia in this lecture?" and i replied "even if there is, which i don't think so, she wouldn't be called Seow Hui Jun Fellicia..." haha... so we were the first few to flee when mrs see finished talking.. and in hr tut later tt afternoon, fellicia really told mrs tong tt she didn't want it (cox she has sth else in mind, like KS in T3)
although i didn't want it too, but i didn't tell mrs tong abt it, cox i was thinking it is a good opportunity and the allowance might be good (lol). when i told my sis just now, she snapped "if u want to be randomly thrown into a place tt is nowhere, u go ahead and reject it." makes sense. but really, presentation! omg. normal in-class presentation is bad enough. and now, to the org! oh no oh no oh no!!! mrs see even wants us to send her our CVs by wed so she can make arrangements for us (lucky i had it ready already - the one i did for Orchard Hotel). and ya. another impt factor. mrs see said not everyone will be sent to a company in pairs. sigh. what if i'm to unlucky one who is sent individually to the company.
i realised, im so pessimistic. *wrinkles added*

should i say i was lucky or unlucky today??

it's sun again. gym date with julie and fiona.
but when we were abt to reach the tamp stadium, it rained. heavily. so we dashed across the road.
and guess what? the sole of my right shoe was coming out! urghhh... so i decided to head home since i can't possibly run in such a condition, and julie and fiona will continue their work out there. so i slowly walk back, i could feel my foot coming into contact with the cement floor. i stopped at the entrance of the stadium, waiting, waiting and waiting for the rain to stop. but it didn't, of course. so when the rain became smaller, i took the opportunity and ran to the traffic light and hid under the tree (i was praying hard tt there will not be lightning!)

then...

there was a voice behind me...

"Do you need a shelter?" a man holding an umbrella asked me. =DDD tadaaa...saviour!!!so he sheltered me all the way to the inter, but it was so awkward! the only sound was the raindrops hitting against his umbrella and the vehicles' engines. good thing it was only a short distance...
I thanked him 3 times (yes, i counted...lol) when we finally reached the inter. BUT after 2 minutes, the rained stopped. totally stopped. =_=" whatever...
so when i slowly dragged my feet home after i alighted at the bus stop, i realised the sole of my left shoe is coming off too! wow. thank goodness it came out only after i reached my home sweet home.

fiona and peizhen had complained that i didn't update my blog today.
so here i am now, updating it.

well, i have nth much to blog, so i will just randomly type what comes into my mind...

i just read some of my friends' blogs and i feel like i haven't been meeting up with my yr 1 friends. hais. i missed them. their laughters, gossipings, their pace etc... you name it...

I have 3 more projects due soon, but i don't have to mood to do it. partly because everyone's tired and ya... not very motivated? i don't know. What i know is i hate this sem. Really hate it. i can't wait for 3.2 to come! urhhh... or SIP. whatever that takes me away from this sem. (i sound so different from jingyi!)

so im telling myself to bear with it for another few more months. but, it seems like forever.

oh anyway, Judith if u read this, how did you know my link?? haha...

had been very busy with projects lately. although individual assignments are finally over, group projects are still not completed. or should i say not yet started??? (f.y.i. deadlines are only 1 or 2 weeks away... HELP!)

anyway, i can't wait for this sem to finish. sigh.

yesterday after HR presentation and APEL lessons (oh btw, we'd finally completed all our APEL lessons! yay! Bye bye APEL... :D) i took MRT with peizhen to town. I was supposed to meet my sis after her work for dinner with her friend, Jasmine, to celebrate their last day of internship. Ok, up to this point, does it sound weird??? haha, yes i know - what does it have to do with me? well, my sis wanted to me to go with them because she had motiveS. She, wanted me to be their photographer and help her carry her stuffs (as it was her last day of work, there are quite a lot of things she needed to clear from her office).

so, i had to agree. I reached somerset at 6.10pm and guess what? i had to loitter around myself until 7pm, thanks to my sis. she spoilt a machine in her office and had to stay back to fix it. So, i had no choice but to wait. Finally, when she called me, i went to Breeks at taka to meet them and i had a shock because i saw 3 more people at the table. As i approached the table, i began to recall who they are - my sis' friends. I was feeling out of place, because basically, im not their clique you know, although we knew each other long ago. Then Jasmine said something to me, "Sorry ar. this was meant to be a surprise for your sis." Suddenly, i realised what was happening, and so did my sis. It was her belated birthday surprise.

So i just sat down and ate with them, although we had no topics in common. -_-" they were catching up, talking about their internships, so i listened since i had to do my internship a few months later too...

After the waitress cleared our table, Jasmine went to the counter. My sis and i thought she was asking for the bill, but seconds later, a group of waiters came behind her and were singing 'Happy Birthday'. My sis's face turned hot pink. Haha. everyone in Breeks, and Ding Tai Feng at the opposite, turned to see what the commotion was about. So, that was the second surprise. The cake was chestnut cake, which my sis had always wanted to try. Fiona, one of my sis' friend, was in charge of buying it, and she told us it was from the taka basement. hmmm... expensive...

After cake, it was present, which my sis din want to open in front of them, to keep it a 'suspense later at home'. It was 9pm already, which means i din get to watch my 7pm dong fang zhen zhu and 9pm shows. haix. so my sis wanted to make a move while the rest of them continued chatting. So as we walked out of the restaurant, guess who we saw? Jacelyn Tay! She's so pretty, but skinny. She looked almost the same as on tv, just a bit fairer and slimer. But she din smile even though she saw us looking at her...

On the train, i analyzed how much her surprise cost her friends. Haha. the dinner was a treat, so her friends and i split cost amongst ourselves, so my sis din have to pay a single penny. then, the cake cost abt $45 (not the large kind, but it tasted good, so i guess it's worth the price), and her G2000 present. i reckon each of them had to pay at least $50. but then again, they're working (at least for now), so they could afford it. LOL.

Finally we reached home at 1015pm, just in time to watch the 10pm show on channel U - it was the last episode. I would have killed my sis if i din get to watch it..

anw, i found out that one of my sis' friends is working at sentosa. She told us they (her colleagues in the HR dept) had finished interviewing the Universal Studio crews. Wow. Universal Studio lehx! haiz... im starting to worry abt my own internship. Dunno which company i would be placed in. Yesterday, i went to see the student internship self secured results, and only a handful of people went to secure their internships for Hr or Tourism. Only Lucinda in my class secured. which means, they are almost 98% of students in my course did not secure. no wonder mrs tong kept saying if we could, we should secure our own internships, if not some of us may have to do our internship in school.

now im confused whether i should pray hard that Orchard Hotel will grant me the interview (i received a call on thurs from a TP Bus staff informing me to send her my resume so she could arrange an interview for me with Orchard Hotel). Im shocked and afraid. Both fiona and peizhen didn't receive the call lehx... have to go for interview lehx. so scary. i don't even know if there would be anybody else going for the interview, what position is the interview for etc... sigh... i heard from my sis that some companies don't even interview the students, and that is less intimidating! but on the other hand, if i din get the interview, i may be sent to go the companies i'd never heard before, may be at Tuas or something. so should i look forward for the interview or not???
